Racist Roots (Film Screening + Panel Discussion)

Tuesday, April 28 — 6 PM

NR | Documentary | 25m | USA

Join us for a joint film screening and panel discussion hosted by the NC Coalition for Alternatives to the Death Penalty. Racist Roots is a powerful 25-minute film that reveals North Carolina's death penalty’s deep entanglement with slavery, lynching, and racism. This film will be followed by a conversation with NCCADP executive director Noel Nickle and Alfred Rivera, one of only twelve people exonerated from NC’s death row. The evening will conclude with an open Q&A session and an opportunity to learn more about upcoming NCCADP events at Elon University.
